I received this book via mail from the author for me to read and give an honest review. I never read any books by J.S. Cooper, so I was curious to find out what her books were all about.
This story is a New Adult romance story about a girl named Maddie who is looking to catch the eye of this car thief named Logan Martelli. The Martelli boys have a reputation for being bad boys who steal cars all around town but never does anyone ask how is very smart father got all of them into to get expect the Martelli sons.
The story starts off really fast with a high-speed chase, but it isn’t what you think. They’re not chasing a Martelli boy; they’re chasing someone else. The story draws you in during the first chapter and then kinda slows down in the middle. It’s a fast read, so you don’t really feel the shift towards the end.
Things I liked about the book was that is was really entertaining. The steamy scenes were steamy and the story itself was good. It wasn’t a big revolutionary story, but it was a steady romance story about a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, or Westside Story type of story. So if you are looking for steamy scenes, a fast-paced read, with a hint of swoon, this book is for you. I give it 3.5 stars. Thank you to J.S. Cooper for sending me a copy for review.
