4 stars Nova Reed used to have dreams-of becoming a famous drummer, of marrying her true love. But all of that was taken away in an instant. Now she’s getting by as best she can, though sometimes that means doing things the old Nova would never do. Things that are slowly eating away at her spirit. Every day blends into the next . . . until she meets Quinton Carter. His intense, honey brown eyes instantly draw her in, and he looks just about as broken as she feels inside.
Quinton once got a second chance at life-but he doesn’t want it. The tattoos on his chest are a constant reminder of what he’s done, what he’s lost. He’s sworn to never allow happiness into his life . . . but then beautiful, sweet Nova makes him smile. He knows he’s too damaged to get close to her, yet she’s the only one who can make him feel alive again. Quinton will have to decide: does he deserve to start over? Or should he pay for his past forever?

.Book Review
Ok, once again author Jessica Sorensen does it again and writes a heart wrenching story about two troubled New Adults. There is Nova (yes Nova is her name as in the car) was well written in a way that you can understand what she is going through. Of course there are major obstacles she is facing (or it would be a boring read) but this book has a way of making you feel the emotions and the heart ache she feels.
I couldn’t help but have my feelings going every which way just as I like my good New Adult reads. Quinton (the very disturbed male lead) I felt for him, he had not support which in return he had only his own thoughts to guide his behavior. So when you read this read be prepared to want be unsettled about some relationships and grit your teeth from time to time. This story is by far not a happy teal but it is by far a tale that you will not forget. Warning: this book talks about SI, Drug abuse, and mental health issues so if you are in the mood for going through a emotional roller coaster this will take you on one. Please note that this not a standalone book there will be a sequel.
I have been a fan of Jessica’s work for a long time and was blessed to get chance to meet her and interview her. Her Paranormal and New Adults books are always entertaining and well written let’s take a look back at my interview with the author Jessica Sorensen and past reviews. of her books.
