Book Review
.
Ahh, this story. The author, Tammara Webber, unfolded a beautiful tale. This story is about Jackie, a college student, who just broke up with her longtime boyfriend and Lucas, a tatted up with piercing, quiet guy who is also a college student. The author cuts right to the chase which throws the reader into a scene that will have your body boiling. At first, the character of Jackie frustrated me a bit. Something really traumatic happened and she just wanted to forget about it. I know if she did something about it right away the story would be too short. So I pushed through the slow parts and found myself really rooting for Lucas. You fall in love with Lucas; he is not the average all around college student-but a super student. You admire a guy who works so hard to get what he wants in life-a better life. But the whole way through the plot you know he is holding back, something so big that I knew there was going to be some major turn of events and boy was I right.
.
Throughout the book you see Jackie grow as a women, speak up for herself and helping others. There was a scene in the book that has you wanting to nudge her fellow sorority sisters. I was frustrated with some of them, but felt it was a good representation of how true life would have been if something horrific had happened to a fellow sister.

I’m a hopeful romantic who adores novels with happy endings, because there are enough sad endings in real life. Before writing full-time, I was an undergraduate academic advisor, economics tutor, planetarium office manager, radiology call center rep, and the palest person to ever work at a tanning salon. I married my high school sweetheart, and I’m Mom to three adult kids and four very immature cats.
