Just to give you a little background, this is a New Adult book that focuses on 5 characters mainly. There is Olivia, who is the heroine, Berkeley the hero, Olivia’s mother, and Olivia’s two friends in LA, Blair and Parker, who are super funny.
The story starts off with Olivia trying to pursue her dream in LA as a fashion stylist were she is escaping a painful past. She gets some odd end jobs and ends up meeting her dream lead band member and the sparks start to fly. It gets complicated and they go through a frenzy of up’s and downs. I have to be honest some of the plot twists were predictable, but they made for an interesting story.
“And I’ve come to a decision. I don’t want to hold out anymore. I know what I want to keep. It’s you. I want to keep you next to me, forever.”
There’s lots of tweet talk and modern times entertainment scenarios to boot. I enjoyed the banter between Olivia’s two friends and her mother. Olivia’s mother is this spiritual adviser who is super hippy and reads people for a living, which drives Olivia crazy, and her friends are like modern day Cinderellas – fairy god mother to the rescue.
There are some other things that did get a little predictable, which was the love between Olivia and Berkeley building so fast and the pace of the book. Even though you could pretty much guess what was going to happen in the story, it was still a funny quick read that was worth my time. It was light-hearted and set in modern day time and technology. I give it 4 solid stars because it was a well written and entertaining story.

Yes it is! This is the authors first book published from what I understand so it’s great deal to check out her writing style.
