About the book:
This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.
Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.
Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.
But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.
MY REVIEW
What. Did. I. Just. Read!!
I loved Katy Evan’s story and I guess I didn’t know what to expect going into this new book series that she wrote, but I wasn’t ready for Saint! No way did I expect anything like this; I mean the title is Manwhore, so I thought it would be just another Remy from REAL, but oh no people, this man is not Remy. Somehow this author was able to create another leading man that just stopped me in my tracks and had me rooting for him in the end. I mean I really was shaking my head and scratching it just reading the build-up to the plot, character development and Saint (Malcolm) <– yeah, the name is just powerful right – a Chicago Player Billionaire? You slowly build and build up so much angst and tension that it’s nerve wracking. I wanted to talk to someone about how I was feeling and my gut twisted when it was oh so close to that plot blast that took you to the edge and then pulled you back, and then pushed you back to the edge and then dangles that carrot – oh no, not a carrot – more like an apple from the garden of Eden… you are gritting your teeth to find out if your heroine is going to bite or not. Let me just say that things aren’t always what they seem when it comes to Saint; there are reasons why he does things which has you pulled into this book, and had me read start and finish in a day! So set aside a whole day for you to read, because you won’t want to miss a thing.
I really like Rachel; she was a recent college grad and works for this small edgy magazine company and has humble beginnings. I will let you read the rest, but she is strong and has some funny and supportive friends. I could tell the author was building to more spin-offs with those friends of Rachel’s and Saint’s, but understand that this book is all about Rachel and Saint, and yes the supportive characters are important; they tempt you to read more, to see if there was something you were missing or can catch a clue on how this story is going to pan out. As you go on this ride of a steady build-up and warning: HUGE CLIFF HANGER that leaves you wanting July 7th to get here like yesterday. The story can go in all kinds of directions and I am blinking and talking to my supportive reading friends about how this story can end. I give it 5 amazing stars!! This story has stayed with me and has me wondering where’s it going to go. Please feel free to comment while reading or afterwards, because you may just need that support.
Manwhore Manwhore +1 (July 7th Release)
