BOOK EXCERPT & BOOK ORDER FROM: REAL, by Katy Evans
~
OK, how do I describe this book? Raw, steamy, smoking hot, leaves you wanting more, stops your heart, touching, brilliant, and a page tuner. Gosh I can’t think of any more words because I was speechless like Remy leaves Brooke.
This sequel is even MORE scary, sexy, heart wrenching than the first. Remy draws you in and TKO’s you on reading the first page. You never had a chance because you submit by keeping reading and never stops until the end.
.
God. Remington? He kills me. He speaks casually, almost barely saying-Yeah, I’m going to kiss you now. And my system jacks up. My blood bubbles as I start thinking about it.
I’ve been waiting for the sequel for long time. I met Remy for the first time back in January and have been a fan ever since. MINE did not disappoint.
MINE is a book where you will need to read the first book REAL beforehand to understand what is going on.
**Spoiler Alert**
If you have not read the first book then you will not want to read the rest of this review.
.
You’re mine now – Remy
.
Brooke, as you know (if you read the first book), is back with Remy after breaking up with him some time ago. MINE throws you back into the ring to feel even more intensity of Remy’s presence. Brooke is telling her story from her eyes and describes her thoughts and feelings to the point you forget you’re reading a book rather than watching a movie. I felt her fear, sadness, happiness, and insecurities throughout the book and was ready for my all-night reading ride with glee.
MINE has its own play list so get ready to listen to your tunes while reading. Be prepared to experience Remy’s ups and downs and his bipolar moods go nuclear, but let me just say it’s not in a physical way like you would think, it’s more a internal battle. You get the perspective of Brooke (and the caregivers) trying to support and sustain her love so that he is a productive member of society. As much as this book is a romance book it is also a hard lesson in how to care and love for someone with a severe mental illness, understanding that unconditional love and respect must be there for a relationship to work.
.
Head to toe, I crave him, every bit of me craves every bit of him.
.
You are going to love me until I die. I’m going to make you love me even if it hurts, and when it hurts, I’m going to make it better, Brooke.
