Another epic return of the brotherhood and an exciting conclusion to this bone-chilling story. Beckett, Blake, and Cole are all back and just like the previous books there is action, surprises, twists and turns, and a whole lot of steamy scenes. Poughkeepsie focused on Blake and Livia’s love story with him counting Livia’s smiles (swoon) and Cole and Kyle’s connection and love, and Beckett’s and Eve’s crazy relationship which turns into a full blown love story in Return to Poughkeepsie.
I don’t want to give away anything with this book, so I’m making this review brief yet impactful. If you haven’t read the previous books you must do so in order to follow this series. You can check out my past reviews to get caught up. This last and final book has a plot twist that is so outrageous with the return of Rodolfo Vitullo and his minions take the story over the top. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out where the story was going to take me. I laughed, I cried and yelled at the book, but in the end I was content with the ending.
I miss Beckett’s fierce love for his family with this ride or die attitude and Coles gentle giant manner man that seems to calm rest of the brothers and Blake what can I say. Blake had me at counting smiles, it so rear of book that can pull of a poor unbelievably romantic lead and this series did that. Blake made be think “poor people deserve love too” and this touching yet raw love exists in this work of Poughkeepsie.
Don’t miss anything about the series – the author has created a mobile app of the first book that will have you virtually feeling like you are in Poughkeepsie.
