BOOK SUMMARY
When Jezebel Carter agreed to a spa session to appease her sickly sister, she expects one thing and one thing only: to leave tension-free. It’s a spa, after all. Instead, she leaves with memories of a gorgeous man with talented fingers, who probably doesn’t work at the spa and is a possible pervert.
Ramsey Stone is no pervert. He’s a licensed masseuse, and he wants more than one session with Jezebel. For a man who prides himself on his control, even he admits he’s smitten with the beautiful, but headstrong financial executive. He’s determined to have her, and before long, Ramsey succeeds on his personal quest to make Jezebel his.
There’s just one problem: Ramsey harbors a secret that could tear Jezebel from his arms and upturn their lives.
BOOK REVIEW
“Hot, sexy, and suspenseful is how I would describe The Masseuse. Violette Dibrinski has once again wrote an impassioned romance novel.”
I just finished this book and it has me saying, “How are you going to keep me hanging like that?” Yes, spoiler alert – there is a huge cliff hanger, but lucky for us the second book is coming out soon. This is one of those books that you will want to know how it ends. The book reads pretty steady; you get introduced to Jezebel and Ramsey. Jezebel is this hot successful businesswoman entrepreneur who is above her peers and in her 30’s. And then there is Ramsey who initially is presented as her masseuse and that’s how the book premise begins. But quickly as you read on you see that it drastically changes and goes in a different direction. That’s when the book starts to pick up and I get the feeling I first had about Ramsey, was that he was the good-looking, stuck-up guy.
He had everything going for him but still was cocky and down right argent. Initially, I wasn’t rooting for Mr. Ramsey and did not know how I would start loving this guy. I felt conflicted about Ramsey and Jezebel actually come to terms with the relationship and what it truly is, and that’s when you feel for him. But the whole time you’re reading you know something is off and you know there’s a big secret somewhere. I had my theories; I hate that my theories were wrong, I think? Because you really don’t get those questions answered in this first book. I’m hoping with the second book you get more of a clear understanding of who Ramsey is, what he’s involved in and what’s his secret, whatever he’s holding back, and how it is going to affect the relationship. You have some general understanding of what happens in the end and it has you feeling incomplete about the story. But have no fear, book two is coming in November so you can start reading The Masseuse now and get ready for the conclusion. I do believe the author said there will be a third book coming out soon to complete this story. I give this book a 4 out of 5 in the heat factor, but 4.5 for the overall story.
