” A funny and cute conclusion to Drew and Kate’s tangled love story”
I was so looking forward to the conclusion of Tangled; I loved hearing Drew’s point of view of things – I felt he was sitting in a room with me telling me about how he got himself into such a predicament that happily ended well for him. You can read about in my review I wrote of Tangled.
Now, about Twisted: this story is all in Kate’s perspective until the very end. You get see how her mind works, which is very similar to Drew’s in a way. She talks like him but I have to say it wasn’t the same. I mean, there were funny parts and very steamy parts of the book too, but I got kinda annoyed by Kate’s thoughts and decisions. I know the author had to make some challenges, but her response and her logic on things were kinda not believable. I wish I could say nicer things, but it was just ok for me. It still has hilarious parts and witty banter, it just did not get me feeling like I was sitting right next to her listening to her tell a story like I did with Drew.
I like the fact that Kate does look at herself and thought she could do things on her own, and projected that she was strong and self-assured. I rarely see that in romance books where the heroine ends up showing she can do it without a man. For the sake of not giving away the book, I won’t go into details of how Kate shows this side of her. But I can say that during the plot twist I was disappointed in how Drew and Kate just kinda quickly brushed off their big dilemma. I mean, she should have made him suffer a little, but the way in which she does it confused me a little. But that was me, maybe you will have a different experience. With that I give this book a 3.5 stars.
